Join us and help celebrate the launch of Girls on the Run of Frederick County by participating in our Summer Splash Dash!  This spring season is our inaugural season and we are having so  much  fun!  The funds raised will be used to support scholarships and program costs.  Girls, Boys, Men, and Women of all ages and abilities are invited to run in this fundraising event.  The girls in our program will be running their celebratory 5k during this race, so this is your chance to experience what it is like to be a Girl on the Run!  Register here.

The GOTR program emphasizes a non-competitive and participatory environment so we are hosting a run with fun and surprises along the way for your enjoyment.  No “winners”, no pressure!!!  Runners of all ages and abilities are invited to participate in the 5K and 1K fun run in Baker Park.   

Date:  Saturday, June 1, 2013

Time:  7:00 AM packet pick up and same day registration;  8:00 AM races starts  (8:00 AM for 1K;  8:15 AM for 5K)

Where:  Talley Rec Center, 121 N. Bentz Street, Frederick, MD 21701.  The race starts and ends at Talley Rec Center.  The course runs through Baker Park and surrounding neighborhoods.

Cost:  $25 per 5K registrant.  $10 per 1K registrant.  $85 max for family.

Benefits:  Running with awesome families who support Girls on the Run.  Cheering the Girls on the Run teams.  Surprises.  Race Day wear/prize ( to the first 200 5K participants registered before 5/15/13).
